Finding Assisted Living for Seniors with Disabilities Part 1

by Summer Jackson | Healthy Aging, Mobility | 0 comments

With the youngest of Baby Boomer Generation turning 65 years old by 2030, 1 in every 5 people will be retirement age.  This huge shift in the amount of older people will mean that more people will be living with some type of disability.  Approximately 2 in 5 older adults, 65 years of age and older have at least 1 type of functional disability, with mobility issues impacting seniors the most.

When it makes sense to move to a place where there is little if any maintenance, and some supervision, there are lots of choices.  Assisted Living offers a lot of great options and can give family members comfort knowing that there are qualified people there to assist, and custom programs tailored to meet loved ones needs.
